Mother Kimberley Treetop is a hard working geologist who is never happier than when outside surrounded by nature. She is passionate about the environment and is always taking readings, measurements and soil samples to help find new sustainable sources of water and minerals. Kimberley keeps endless journals and diaries of her findings, which sit in tottering piles around her desk, but she insists she knows where everything is at all times!
Father Hillier Treetop can usually be found out and about with his wife, Kimberley, while she is working. He is always on hand to carry her equipment, note down measurements and carefully stow away samples for her. When he’s not working hard, Hillier will quite often head to Sparkle Lake and enjoy a nice, tranquil swim. His favourite time to visit is at sunrise, when the water mirrors the early morning sky making it look almost pink in colour.
Baby Alice Treetop may only be small but she already has big plans! She likes to paint on enormous pieces of paper, and on one rather memorable (if not slightly unfortunate) occasion, created a picture of the view from her back garden on a large bed sheet that she ‘borrowed’ from her father’s laundry basket while he wasn’t looking. Once he got over the initial shock, Hillier was actually rather impressed with the painting. He thinks Alice will be famous artist one day, with landscapes hanging in the local art gallery – but has told her that she cannot paint on any more household items!
