Last Posting Dates for Christmas
Delivery information in more detail follows below:
For UK mainland deliveries:
The last recommended posting date for pre-Christmas delivery via standard Royal Mail is Thursday December 21st. For smaller items like families and accessories you can order up to 2pm on Friday December 22nd for delivery via Royal Mail special delivery which is guaranteed to arrive on Saturday December 23rd. For Special Delivery please order from our London shop by telephone on 020 7226 1329. Smaller orders placed online will be charged at standard delivery and despatched via Royal Mail 1st Class. If you are unsure about the items you are ordering and would like more help or information please call us.
For standard delivery via DPD our last posting date is Thursday December 21st for delivery on Friday December 22nd. DPD is used for all larger items and heavier parcels, like houses, shops etc. We will have a premium DPD Saturday delivery service available which can be ordered up to 12pm on Friday December 22nd, with additional charges payable. For DPD Saturday delivery, please order from our London shop by telephone on 020 7226 1329. Orders placed online that miss despatch on Thursday December 21st will be sent via DPD standard, and not arrive until Wednesday December 27th. If in doubt, please call us for assistance.
For UK Highlands & Islands deliveries:
Your last ordering date both online and by telephone is Tuesday December 19th by 12pm – deliveries to some postcodes in these areas can take up to 3 working days, so to ensure you receive your items in time, please get your orders to us as soon as you can, and certainly no later than 12pm on Tuesday December 19th.
For European Union* deliveries:
You can still order from us after December 8th and might still receive your parcel in time for Christmas. Smaller parcels are sent via standard airmail and the last posting date for these is advertised by the post office as Friday December 15th, so as long as you order by 2pm on Friday December 15th you should still receive your parcel in time, but we cannot guarantee this.
Larger parcels containing items like houses and other buildings are sent via courier and usually arrive within 5 working days. Therefore even ordering up until 12pm on Friday December 15th should mean your items still arrive in time for Christmas, but we cannot guarantee this. (*) Some EU countries are excluded from the 5 working day delivery timescale, for example Cyprus and Bulgaria. Please contact us for more information if unsure.
For Rest of World deliveries:
We have advertised our last online order date as Friday November 24th 2017, however you can still order from us after November 24th and might still receive your parcel in time for Christmas. With most Rest of World locations, the slowest parcels are the larger ones containing items like houses and other buildings, for example. These must be despatched no later than November 24th to get them to you in time.
Smaller parcels are sent via airmail and these can be shipped much later and should still arrive in time. The post office advertise the following dates as last-posting for Christmas for these countries:
Friday December 1st: Africa
Wednesday December 6th: Asia, Far East, Japan
Thursday December 7th: South America
Friday December 8th: Australia & New Zealand
Thursday December 14th: Canada & USA
Therefore in theory you could order up to 2pm on the dates above for your smaller items, and still receive your parcel in time for Christmas, but we cannot guarantee this.
